Congrats to the JSU student chapter for placing 3rd in the Deep South Conference concrete canoe competition!

Mississippi State University

Congrats to the MSU student chapter for placing 1st overall in the Deep South Conference!   They also placed 1st in the concrete canoe, 1st in the concrete canoe co-ed sprint, 3rd in the steel bridge, 1st in the steel bridge stiffness, 2nd in the quiz bowl, and 1st in the Daniel W. Mead contest.  They will attend the National Concrete Canoe Competition at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign in June.

Junior Protective Design Engineer (SD-2012-007)

Entry Level Software Developer (SD-2011-006)

BS in Computer Science or related discipline. 3.0 GPA minimum. Development experience on the Microsoft .NET platform. Familiarity with development tools such as Visual Studio. Familiarity with configuration management systems such as SVN. Strong oral and written communication skills.
Knowledge of developing desktop applications using Windows Presentation Foundation (WPF) or WinForms is preferred. Mobile application development experience for either the iPhone or Android is preferred. Familiarity with GIS application development in systems such as Google Earth and ESRI ArcGIS is preferred. Development experience using technologies such as ASP.NET, ASP.NET MVC, Silverlight, JavaScript, and jQuery is preferred.

Adjunct Faculty Adviser
An adjunct faculty position is available at the Department of Civil and Environmental Engineering at Jackson State University. The position requires teaching undergraduate surveying course “Engineering Survey (lecture) (2 credit hours)” and “Engineering Survey (lab) (1 credit hour)” for the 2009 Fall semester. The minimum qualifications are: 1) must hold a Master’s or Ph.D. degree in Civil and Environmental Engineering or related discipline; 2) must be a Professional Land Surveyor or have substantial experience in surveying.
