The Mississippi Section of ASCE awards four $750 scholarships every year to support higher learning in civil engineering.  Applicants must be a full-time civil engineering undergraduate at a 4-year ABET accredited Mississippi university.  Applicants must complete an application and submit a typed one-page essay on a topic selected by the officers of ASCE.  The following criteria will be used to award the scholarships to applicants:  academic performance, personal circumstances, extracurricular involvement, and the written essay.

2013 Topic:  “The Civil Engineer’s Response to Infrastructure Report Cards”. The essay should discuss a civil engineer’s various roles and responsibilities in society with respect to recently released infrastructure report cards.

2013 ASCE Scholarship Application

All applications must be received no later than August 22, 2014.

Special Projects Funds

The student chapters may request additional funds from the ASCE Mississippi Section.  These funds are in addition to the yearly allotment each student chapter receives.  This request will be reviewed and approved by the current ASCE Mississippi Section officers and board of directors.  To apply for additional funds, fill out the forms below and email to the current section president.
